For everyone that wasn´t able to join the very first show of Alex tour, I decided to write a little tour diary. So here are some highlights of the evening:
Alex came on stage at 8:30 p.m., well the band members were first and Shawn, the guitarist of the tour was smoking his cigarette on stage. We all have been like “LOL”, because I think it´s pretty uncommon. Ulf was at the drums again and Simon, a friend of Alex from Austria played the Chello. When Alex came up on stage, he opened the evening with a little talk, checking the equipment again, before he started singing the first song of the evening “Without you”. Second song was “We´ve all been there”. I have to say, he was definitely in bestform! He joked around with us – some examples:
He learned some more German! “Guten Abend” = good evening and “Tschüß” = good bye. Really cute. ;) Also some girls joked around in a little break before the acoustic set and he said “Why do you laugh? You have to tell me!”, or also at another break, he went off the stage while the band played, came back after two minutes with the excuse “Sorry, I had to pee – just kidding”. A lot of us had a good laugh about it.
But not only that, he also told very open about his surgery he recently had. He told that he wasn´t able to breathe since this childhood, because something in his nose was wrong. Didn´t get it 100 % what it was, sorry. At the surgery they had to break his nose and went with some instrument up to his head. He said that he felt dead for weeks after the procedure (understandable), but now he finally can breathe what also helps him with singing. Now he can sing “fucking good” in his own words. ;) You see, he was really in bestform, jumping a lot around while performing the songs. But there were also more emotional moments, for example when he played the acoustic songs “Adrienne” and “Stigmatized”, what is a really, really lovely idea for a show! Also he played “Only One” live at the piano. Of course the Hits like “Tonight” and “Wherever you will go” were also played + some non-album songs like “Could it be any harder” and the new really powerful rocking song “Stand up now”. (I´m already totally in love with this song). It reminds me a bit to “We´ve all been there”, because of the power behind it.
A negative rating goes definitely to the security! Alex wanted the girl in front of me to come to him on stage for the song “Could it be any harder”, but they just didn´t let her go up. Big bummer for her!
During the performance of “Forever Yours” the Ladies of the German street team put up lightening hearts (thanks again to Melle to also give one to me ), which was a really cool effect.
Well, what else can I tell? Alex was sweet as always, giving a water bottle to a Fan he just grabbed to drink, but saw that the Fan was thirsty as well, so he grabbed a Cola for himself. He made a lot of eye contact, looked into a lot of cameras for photos and videos (thank you for that ) and it was just an amazing time!
After the concert it was merch table time to sign some stuff. Also there he was funny again, when he grabbed his jacket and got asked if he freezes or something like that. He answered “No, I leave” turned away and back - Just kidding again. I told him that it truly was the most amazing show for me this evening I have ever seen of him. He asked me if I will come to another show, because they will be even better, so I´m very excited for Cologne now. ;D
Okay, that´s the evening in a short version. I´m sure I forgot something to mention, but I did my best.

Comment by Maria on March 19, 2012 at 4:49am Awesome! Very interesting and cool. I like the moments when you tell about Alex's jokes.
Actually, I've never seen such amazing treatment with fans! ;) I've never heard about someone who invited fans to sing or get a bottle with water to thirsty fans. Alex is great and thanks to him!
Daniela, thanks for sharing I really like it and I'm sure one day I can do the same diary when Alex come to Moscow,Russia. BUT only in summer, because it's too cold here in other seasons(I'm worrying about him because of it) :)
