New Message on Myspace Page
Hey guys! I can't thank you all enough for visiting my Myspace page! I love reading all your comments about the two new demos I put up:) It's been a very long time coming, and lots of political battles have been waged, but I am finally starting to record my record next month! An amazing producer named Matt Serletic will be producing some of the songs and a few other producers will be doing the rest. Matt is most well known for doing Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas, and Collective Soul, to name a few. I can't even begin to express to you all how frikkin happy I am that I'm finally going to make my record! Expect a release date of Spring next year. Touring around the world and seeing you all feels like a part of my life and soul that has been missing for some time now, but I'm getting it back! I'll check in soon:) All the love...

Happy Holidays Everyone! And Happy New Year! I’ve spent this whole year creating a massive catalogue of new songs for my solo album. 40+ songs to chose from! 2005 was full of many changes for me, but all for the good and I’m ready for 2006 to share with the world everything that I’ve been working so hard on. Next year is going to be huge! As a little Holiday gift to you all, I thought it would be great to share with you one of those many songs I’ve written! They’re all still in demo form, recorded here in my little studio at home, so expect to hear a much more exciting version next year. This particular song I chose to share with you is very close to my heart for many reasons. The song is called “Last Goodbye” and you can find it by going to Debbie’s Fan site at: www.alexmaxband.com. New Exciting Info! It’s amazing;) I finally just passed a key moment that I’ve been waiting for…I signed my name on the dotted line to become part of A&M/Interscope’s family of artists! So why is it that I signed with A&M you might ask? Well, other than their amazing roster of musicians, my good friend who signed me to RCA 8 years ago runs the company! Yes, Ron Fair, my next-door neighbor from many moons ago, right there on good old Camino Palmero, where it all started, has signed me again! He left RCA shortly after I finished The Calling’s first record in 2000 to become the head of A&M and has since done very well for the label. I’m super excited about this new partnership and I can’t wait to meet my new team who vow to make this record huge when it comes out next year! Currently, I’m still writing and recording as I go, with multiple producers and it’s making for some insane music! I’ve got classic “Calling-like” love songs, big rock songs, songs that have dance, R&B and urban beats, underneath larger guitar driven rock, piano based songs, female vocalists, church choirs, horn sections, big string sections, you name it! Anyway, I’m going to start working on a kick ass website now and try to have it up as soon as possible for you guys cause I really want to start sharing audio, pictures and video of the recording process! I know I’ve said this a million times already, but I really can’t wait for you guys to hear this stuff next year…I can’t wait to be standing on stage all around the world playing it for you all. 9.16.05 - Long time no talk! I'm sorry I haven't checked in for a while, but I have been super busy with my new record. We've got a producer on board who I am really excited about...he was my number one pick to do the record and when he told me he'd loved to work with me, I was on cloud nine! Working with him has been awesome and we just wrote a song together that's incredible. I can't wait for you all to hear it! This record is gonna kick major ass! I'll be checking in again with you all very soon to let you know what label I have signed with (finally!) and all the info regarding the recording process, which will begin shortly. On a side note, I wanted to let you all know that I will be joining my Dad for a few stops in Texas on his crazy road show across the country. I'll be performing a few songs and I'm sure he has embarrassing things to show everyone about me! Hey everyone! Just giving you a quick update on what’s going on with me. I’m just finishing writing for my solo record and we now have a collection of over 20 amazing songs to chose from! We’re currently finding the right producer now and are planning to start recording by September. I’m sooooo excited! As a little treat for you guys while you wait, I happened to dig up the funniest old home video of me ever, and I wanted to share it with you all! It’s my 6th grade elementary school graduation. Not much has changed, I was still fixing my hair every other second 13 years ago and writing songs and playing guitar. This video is extra special because it was my first live performance EVER. My elementary school had a Greek Olympics theme for our graduation, so forgive my toga! It’s an incredibly lame video, an insanely cheesy song, and a not so great performance….but, it’s damn entertaining! You can go check it out now at Debbie’s Alex Band FANsite . Hello! Welcome to my new website! I know it doesn’t look like much now, but it will be up and running in no time and I promise it will rock! So, as most of you have heard by now, I have decided to put The Calling on hold and do a solo record. I am extremely excited about this and trust me, the future will be great! The two shows we played last month were the last Calling shows for the time being. Thank you to all the fans who came from all over the country, and even Canada to see us play! The shows were incredible to say the least. I know you have many questions right now, and I’ll do my best to answer them here in this letter and on the upcoming message board on this site. So, starting with the incredible band we now have playing with us…if all goes as planned, they will be right behind me on stage next year when I go back on tour for my solo album. We have all become close friends and they are an extremely talented bunch of guys. I’m looking forward to getting back on the road with them and my new material and so are they. We will ALWAYS play everyone’s favorite Calling songs live. That is extremely important to me and will not change. As for our online site and The Loft…addresses and layouts will change, but our awesome community of friends will not. I hope to see everyone follow me on this new journey. I am no longer working with RCA/BMG. I will be working with a new major label that will take care of me very well. I have surrounded myself with friends and supporters to take me to the next level, so I can tour the world again on an even bigger scale and see each and every one of you. I hope to have big success as a solo artist and I plan on revisiting The Calling later on. That is my ideal situation. I wish I could sit you all down now and play you the demos of my new material I have created, cause I’m so excited to share it with you…but that would take too long! At least I know you will all be hearing it soon! My mission for the rest of this year is to include you all on every step of my solo career; My new online site and The Alex Band Loft soon to open, which record label I am soon to be signed to, when I will be going into the studio, video and audio of the creation of my new record, etc. So, stay tuned and I will fill you in on all that is to come. Thank you all again for the love and support you have given me over the last 4 years. I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life…and I’m on my way to making new ones. All the love…
