Alex featured in The Bratz Movie Soundtrack
Hey guys! I wanted to let you all know that the soundtrack for The Bratz movie is coming out July 31st and you can hear the song I wrote, performed and produced with Arms called “It Doesn’t Get Better Than This” . The soundtrack also has other great songs on it by artists like Lifehouse and Black Eyed Peas. It’s actually a fun movie, so check it out when it opens in theaters August 3rd. Alex Band Fans/Donate Life Supporters... Announcement...
As most of you are aware, Geffen recording artist, Alex Band, and his wife, Jennifer Sky Band have been supporting Donate Life America for many years.
What you don't know is, over the past several months Alex and Jennifer have been in the process of creating their own "Donate Life" organization. This new and exciting organization will be known as "Alex Band's Donate Life Rocks" and is being created to promote organ, eye and tissue donation awareness through concerts and events using the entertainment industry.
This July, Alex Band's Donate Life Rocks will produce its first concert in conjunction with the Hard Rock Cafe Universal City in Los Angeles.
Over the next few weeks we will be announcing the line up, venue and all details associated with the event. We are all thrilled with this exciting news and hope that you will all support this new organization.
Denise Mancini Tripp, whom most of you know through her sixteen years with the United Network for Organ Sharing and Donate Life America, will be handling the day-to-day operation of Alex Band's Donate Life Rocks. However, Alex and Jennifer will be involved in all aspects of this organization.

Hi from New York
Hey everyone! The record is almost done being mixed now! Only five more songs to go! I still don’t have a release date yet, but I’m hoping to know more in the next month as my finished record begins to circulate around my record label. I wanted to let you all know about something else exciting as well. I am currently in NY doing press and performances for an upcoming movie called "The Final Season". They are premiering the movie at the Tribeca film festival here on Saturday.
It’s a really great movie and a superb writer named Mitch Allen and I wrote the end credit song. I don’t know when the movie will be released, but I’ve heard end of summer. The song should be available on iTunes when my record is released later this year. More news to come!

Update!
Hey everyone! I wanted to give you all an update, as my timeline has unfortunately changed a bit. Just this last week, I did the final live string sessions for the record, it was by far the most magical moment yet. Check back later today to watch it all in the 15th in-studio video!
I will be doing some final tweaking this coming week on the album, and then we will be mixing everything in a couple weeks, which will take some time as well. I don’t know how much you all know about the current state of the music business, but it is very, very bleak. Major labels are dropping like flies, record stores are closing left and right, and bands…talented bands, are getting let go on a daily basis. It’s a sad thing to be a part of this and watch it over the last bunch of years. Needless to say, this does affect me. Every step I take to push my record to come out sooner, I have to take another step back, due to other circumstance that I have no control over. Now, with all that said, I want you all to know that my record will come out this year, it will be better than you can imagine, and my label is very much behind it. All this extra time has done nothing but let me write more incredible songs and make this record sound even better…so there is a positive! But obviously, just like all of you, I am wanting to be out there touring and sharing this album with the world. It’s getting very close, but it won’t be this month like I was told. Instead of specifying an actual week or month, I am just going to tell you guys once I know the actual date, when it is set in stone. I am still as excited as I’ve been, if not more, and I will continue to update you all on the rest of the process. All the love!!!
P.S. For those of you who leave me messages on Myspace, AlexBand.net. alexband888@aol.com and anywhere else; just know that I am spending all my time and energy right now finishing this record. It's '07 and we're back to work!
Hey guys! It's a new year and I am back at work. Check out the new in-studio video that I just put up. Also, if you haven't already, sign up to be on the mailing list at www.alexband.net. The album is coming along amazingly and there's only 3 songs left to record! I start next week with a great producer named Chuck Reed to record two more songs, one of which is "Tonight". Then I will be doing the final song, "Please", with another awesome producer named Jon Fields. 2007 is going to be a crazy year for me...and I'm ready!!! All the love...

Happy Holidays Everyone
Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
Wow, it’s almost 2007! I never thought the day would come! Next year is going to be amazing! My record is finally going to come out and I get to tour the world again and see you all! There’s still much work to be done on the record…next month I will be finishing up the two songs I’m currently working on with Matt Serletic, doing all the live strings for the 6 songs I recorded with Tal, recording 3 other songs with two new producers, finishing producing the song Arms and I wrote, and finally mixing everything with an amazing mixer named Jack Joseph Puig! And then of course it will be time to get a kick ass band together and get ready for the fun stuff!
The first single is still due out March and the record will be released worldwide sometime around June. As always, I wanted to leave you all a special Holiday treat, so Debbie has been kind enough to put it up on her site for download: www.alexmaxband.com. It’s one of my favorite songs that I wrote and produced out myself earlier this year here at my house. Unfortunately it’s one of many songs that didn’t make it on this record, so I thought I should share with all of you!
Also, the last in-studio video of the year will be put up this Friday and it’s going to be a good one. I’m off to Florida for the Holidays and will be returning at the beginning of the year to get back to work! I want to thank you all again for your continued support…I have the best family of fans a guy could ask for! So, I wish you all a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year and I’ll see you in 2007!

Happy Thanksgiving
HELLOOOOOO!
I wanted to check in and wish all you American fans a Happy Thanksgiving! I'm currently taking a week off and vacationing in Florida for Thanksgiving. But I will be back in the studio starting next week....Which means more in-studio videos very soon! I spent the last two weeks writing some great new songs. I don't know which ones will end up on the record though...I've already got so many crazy tracks!
The schedule for the album and single release are still right on target. The first single is scheduled for end of first quarter next year release, with the album coming out end of second quarter. And to answer all you international fans' questions, the album will of course be released worldwide! Although I will be spending ample time here in the States to promote the first single, I am so looking forward to traveling abroad again and coming to see you all...It's been toooooo long! Anyway, have a great Thanksgiving and I'll catch you all next week. All the love...

I'M RECORDING!!!
I just got home from my first day in the studio recording my solo record! I can't even explain how good it felt to be in there putting these songs down on tape that have been swimming in my head for a year and a half now (granted, there is no "tape" anymore :). We started today with the song "Euphoria", which you might have heard a clip from the live acoustic show I did last week. I tell you, the acoustic clip does this song no justice! It's sounding amazing with the full band, who by the way are insanely good players...I can't wait for you guys to hear it! I did a little filming today around the studio and I'm going to make it a point at the end of each week to put at least one video together to give to you all. I'll of course be taking some pictures as well of all that goes on behind the scenes. It's looking like I will be recording through until later in November to finish this monster and then unleash it upon the world in the first half of next year...HA HA HA! ;) Anyway, I just wanted to tell you all how happy I am to be in the studio finally doing my thing...I have been and will continue to pour my heart and soul into this record and I hope when you listen to it next year you can feel these songs...not just hear them. I'm so lame I couldn't even sleep last night cause I was so excited...so now I'm tired...I'll check in again soon! All the love...

New Message on Myspace Page
Hey guys! I can't thank you all enough for visiting my Myspace page! I love reading all your comments about the two new demos I put up:) It's been a very long time coming, and lots of political battles have been waged, but I am finally starting to record my record next month! An amazing producer named Matt Serletic will be producing some of the songs and a few other producers will be doing the rest. Matt is most well known for doing Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas, and Collective Soul, to name a few. I can't even begin to express to you all how frikkin happy I am that I'm finally going to make my record! Expect a release date of Spring next year. Touring around the world and seeing you all feels like a part of my life and soul that has been missing for some time now, but I'm getting it back! I'll check in soon:) All the love...
