I play WYWG without capo because I do not sing => I don't need to change tonality (change guitar tuning or use capo).
Both version on songsterr not right in some places. ;) See live performanse on youtube. Or my version (sorry for russian "hieroglyphs", i can to translate if you need).
p.s. generally songsterr is very helpful site :)
yuh ive done youtube videos as well but its more helpful if you use more accurate tabliture or to see music for certain rythms, or melodies, Ive checked some of the songs on it and most of it is right but sometimes there are glitches every site has that but its a pretty good tool to use if you want to look up a song and seems pretty good for beginners, some times people cant learn from videos though actually want to see the music in view and sometimes its completely wrong on videos as well or not as the artist plays it but its a good tool to use as well i have trouble sometimes useing youtube videos bc i cant actually see forsure what there playing or what string bc they arent up close enough for you to actually catch on but it does help sometimes for me if i dont know a certain hand position they would use for a chord or the transitions... thanx for your opinion though :)
im right handed guitar player, I rarely use the capo unless a artists use's it in a song lol but thanx for telling me :) ill try it without the capo sometime if I learn the song soon :)
hope you liked the site though :)

Permalink Reply by Maria on December 2, 2011 at 3:29am If I can't see in video something I save this video in max definition and I try to watch frame by frame. If I don't know some fingering, I use guitar pro.
May be it very helpful for begginers, but it don't have any guarantee the correctness of this information. Example: in WYWG (with capo) there is chord F [133211], but Alex in most of the songs use F7M/C [x33210]. In chorus in chords C, G and Am in the middle of tact Alex remove the finger from first fret of second string [B].
WYWG (without capo): С, Am and F7M/C in III position, G in I position (!).
Little things. But there are a lot of these little things :(
I don't want to say "songsterr is bad service", st is very cool service. But all information from the internet is needed a proof.

Permalink Reply by Alex Nakamura on December 4, 2011 at 11:44am I'd like you all to consider looking into this Camino Palmero guitar tablature book.
It's the first book I ever got for learning how to play guitar. I talked to Alex about it the first time I met him and he mentioned that it's got a bunch of mistakes in it but it does still have a lot of good stuff in there.
Note: on the original recording of Camino Palmero it'll say Capo II for Wherever You Will Go which is correct. When performing it live it'll sound like it's capo I because he down-tunes his guitar a half-step. A good rule for where you should put the capo is that you ask what works for you? Voices are different.
The bridge says you should play (Bm) (F) (G6) (Em); that first chord is an error and says what the chord SOUNDS like. Try these chord shapes instead: (Am) (F) (G) (Em) and it'll sound great. :-)
Maria: As for issues like Alex playing an Fmaj7/C instead of an F I believe this is because of a couple of things:
1) If he's playing with a bass player then he'll be playing the F.
2) It's just easier to switch to quickly.
3) People generally aren't as perceptive to whether it's got F in the bass anyway.
Yes, I am a huge music nerd. Trust me.

May be you can to check my version of WYWG? (link above)
Permalink Reply by Alex Nakamura on December 4, 2011 at 2:24pm There are some mistakes there. It sounds sort of right but there's notes here and there that don't quite go perfectly. Like in the first measure take the last 2 in the measure and make it a 0 for instance; the same goes for the 3rd measure. As far as strumming the chords for the chorus goes the C chord is fine but try changing the second chord to:
0
1
0
0
2
3
If you're with a bass player that low 3 is optional.
These are just a few things I'd suggest.
The book is helpful for this sort of thing. I don't really want to regurgitate the contents of it here.
thanx guys this is great info too :) <3
also @ alex nakamura thanx for explaining wherever you will go :) and i noticed alex on most of his songs always tunes down half a step so thats very helpful too. & the chord shapes is a great help too thanx! :) ill try it deffiantly soon! cant wait!
question for u too if u know: have u found anything on euphoria yet? if u do please send a link or something so i know some chords of it to see if i can get the song down :) thanx! and any other songs you find let me know id love to look into it thanx :)
& ill deffiantly have to get the calling tablature book :P
Permalink Reply by Maria on December 5, 2011 at 3:52am Alex, I'm sorry for my obtrusiveness. But I don't understand why 320010? On all video of live acoustic performances of WYWG are 320013-320003 chords in chorus after C-C7M (x32013-x32003)? Link (time 1:07, 2:00, 2:53), link (time 0:46, 1:38, 2:32), link (time 0:53) link (time 0:19, 1:11, 2:04) link (time 0:56, 1:48, 2:40) link (time 0:49, 1:41, 2:36) etc.
I can find only one video where Aaron use 320010-320000 fingering in this moment. This, 1:49 Quality is very-very bad :(
