The Calling Videos

I thought I would start a post here to discuss The Calling Videos so we won't take up space discussing them in Alex's Thanksgiving message. What ones did you like, not like, etc. etc.

My personal favorites are the very first WYWG video shot in Mexico, CIBAH, Anything and Things Will Go My Way.

I liked Our Lives and For You but they are not at the top of my list. Stigmatized was quite beautiful.

I didn't really care for Adrienne or the second WYWG video.

Even though it's not a Calling video , the Santana/Alex video for Why Don't You and I is possibly the worst video I have ever seen, lol. Someone was defintely smoking something funny when they came up with that one ;)

I know about it. But each video is recorded by mobile phone within the limits of 20 - 60 seconds in very bad quality. There are no sound (to listen favorite songs with bad sound is not right), there we cannot see Alex and all around properly. Thats why i discuss this and ask why there are no good video from the like concerts.
I do not complain, I just wanna more))...

There're some new ones! From the donate life show and Richmond if you didn't know :) You'll find them on debbie's site and youtube!!

Video with Alex's concerts or is a rarity. There is nothing since 2004.

Those are the only ones Jethro and Nick have edited and sent me. Maybe someday we can see more but that's all there is for now.

That's my first visit on Boards-section, so I want to say Hello for everyone!!:)

In my opinion videos are not the strongest part of TC music. For me they are too boring, maybe some action or interesting story-then they would be better? But I think that first version of WYWG was made great. And also Things will go my way - that's one of my faves songs and even I don't like Tour videos this one is very good. Oh, and Anything has funny moments, like when Alex is getting on a balcony or when he's walking between roses - it's sweet!!:D

So, that's all:p

eye agree my fave vid of all is "Wherever U will go" can't stop listening 2 it ! and "Anything" truly beautiful love song even if the vid was like a little soap love movie !

I agree with debbles im not keen on the Why dont you and I video...although i LOVEE could it be any harder..as with mitchie i love the closeness lol and i think its a beautiful video. I also like adrienne and for you...great vids :)

Will always be my favorite TC vid is WYWG second version. Still love listening to it up to now.

I used to love CIBAH video because on how close Alex is to the camera... lol

After it was explained what happened, I totally understand where you are coming from... I totally missed the scenario that caused it (I don't know how, by following all the sites, I keep missing stuff lol) I'm sorry, I was confused because the only posts here beforehand were mine and Debbie's. I just think, that person offended alex and people that work with him...
saying videos are boring is as "hey you suck doing your work" and personally I love TC videos. I'm the first that don't like some kind of videos, but if someone ask to me I say "I don't like it" not "it's boring".there's a difference. I've always respect people and their work
To make a video takes long time and it's a very hard thing. I can't be quite since people say things like that.
I really hope that Estella.. I don't remember the name, will come here and asnwer 'cause I can't believe she really think this way.

Anyway for people smoking on -alex & Santana's video..it was funny so see alex flying lol
My favorites are twgmw and Anything...
ol was a good one too..I love that alex's jacket lol
Wywg was the first video, the label decided how to relase it...

Um... I'm sorry if you're offended, but I don't even know where to begin a response to your post. No one was criticizing the videos for being boring, or said they need dancers or anything of that nature. I simply stated what my favorites were and mentioned the ones that aren't. It doesn't mean that I hate them, but simply that I don't like them as much as some of the other videos.
I've been a fan of TC since early 2001 and I've supported Alex's career choices faithfully for years. I'm sorry if you have a difference of opinion, but I'm not going to apologize for expressing mine in a thread where our opinions are directly asked for.
Maybe I misunderstood your post and if so, I'm sorry. It just came across that you are incredibly angry and I don't understand why.

You're right videos are too boring..who care if fans are on the videos?? who care if tc were tc??? and overall who care if there's live performance around the world in those videos??You're right he needs dancers, stories in which people do crazy things and stuff like that..so videos wouldn't be boring..personally No thanks :)

And just saying,I think that more and less tc made all kinds of videos, love stories (Anything) , rock videos (Adrienne), live performances (Things will go my way), touching story (Could it be any harder)..what else??So what kind of video would you like to see???

I think my favorite video, though, is "Anything" because it was completely adorable and I have to give Alex credit for straining himself on that balcony :-)

I wasn't big on Adrienne either, although I did like the second shot of WYWG. I remember the day Alex hosted TRL, everyone tried to get WYWG in the #1 spot, but unfortunately, I think they go by the number of votes a video received the day BEFORE, so we couldn't do it. Would've been cool, though, if he got to introduce his own video for #1.

I still have every intention of trying to vote (even while at work but my boss doesn't know that) when Alex's first solo video comes out ;-)
